Leaked images show iPhone 7 Plus: Apple
pushed consumers toward pricier iPhone models (with higher ASPs and better
margins) by quadrupling the amount of storage in the mid-tier model as
compared to the base model. This year, however, rumor has it that entry-level
iPhones will have 32GB of storage instead of 16GB.
That’s probably enough for many users, so how will Apple get people to pay more
for higher-end iPhones?
If
these latest leaked images are genuine, we know exactly how the company will do
it.
By all
accounts, the iPhone 7 will pretty much be a thinner and faster
iPhone 6s with upgraded components and a better camera. While there might
be a few surprises in store, that seems to be the gist of it.
But the iPhone 7
Plus, on the other hand, appears to pack several exciting new
features that have never been seen before on an iPhone. People are going to
want those cool new features and they’ll have to cough up some extra cash for the
Plus model in order to get them.
We’ve
all read the rumors but now new images seemingly show us exactly what the
iPhone 7 Plus will have in store for phablet fans when it launches later
this year. Like clockwork, third-party case images have begun to hit the web
and just like last year and the year before, they likely paint an accurate
picture of Apple’s unreleased iPhones.
So
what’s the big deal this time around? As you’ll see in the photos below, it
appears as though Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 Plus will indeed feature an all new
dual camera setup. What’s more, the images show a new Smart Connector near the
bottom of the iPhone 7 Plus that will likely be similar in utility to the iPad
Pro’s Smart Connector, allowing users to attach accessories that receive
power and data from the device.
You’ll
find several images below. They were shared this morning by 9to5Mac, but
the blog didn’t note where they were originally found or which company will
make them.
